How To Re-String a Split Draw Conventional Traverse Curtain Rod
Restringing a conventional traverse rod is really not  that difficult.   Follow the step by step instructions and you will be
surprise at how easy it really is.

Step 1 First determine how much new cord you will need to restring your
curtain rod.
This is done by measuring the width of the rod while it is hanging up.

Step 2. Measure the distance from the top of the rod to the floor.  Add the
width of the rod and the distance from the floor together, then  double that
total add 6  additional inches to that total.   This is the total amount of cord
that you will need to restring your curtain rod.

Step 3. Place the curtain rod face down on the floor.
a. Push cord over top left pulley (
see diagram position 1).

b.  Feed through left side of master carrier and tie a knot to secure
      cord (
see diagram position 2).

c.  Feed opposite end of the cord between the two pulleys on the
          left (
see diagram position 3)

d. Keep the cord in the curtain rod going under the master carrier
(see diagram position a2) and loop through other master
         carrier (
see diagram position 6).

e. Pull between two pulleys on the right  and loop around top
    pulley (
see diagram position 4).

f. Keep cord inside rod feeding cord under master carrier on the
    right (
see diagram position 6)

g.  Feed through next master carrier and make a knot to secure
(
see diagram position 5)

Step 4. Reattach rod to brackets and center the master carrier
